Ren

The moment I met her, I knew Frankie Zeferino was someone worth waiting for. Deadpan delivery, secret heart of gold, and a rare one-dimpled smile that makes my knees weak, Frankie has been forbidden since the day she and I became coworkers, meaning waiting has been the name of my game - besides hockey, that is.

I'm a player on the team, she's on staff, and as long as we work together, dating is off-limits. But patience has always been my virtue. Frankie won't be here forever - she's headed for bigger, better things. I just hope that when she leaves the team and I tell her how I feel, she won't want to leave me behind, too.

Frankie

I've had a problem at work since the day Ren Bergman joined the team: a six foot three hunk of happy with a sunshine smile. I'm a grumbly grump, and his ridiculously good nature drives me nuts, but even I can't entirely ignore that hot tamale of a ginger with icy eyes, the perfect playoff beard, and a body built for sin that he's annoyingly modest about.

Before I got wise, I would have tripped over myself to get a guy like Ren, but with my diagnosis, I've learned what I am to most people in my life - a problem, not a person. Now, opening my heart to anyone, no matter how sweet, is the last thing I'm prepared to do.

So innocent and so STEAMY 😍

second book in this stand alone series, which is less of a stand alone in my opinion so far and more of a read all of them in order lol. I absolutely loved this book. I really enjoy the author's writing style, now that I've completed book 2. there isn't a bunch of unnecessary details that bogs down your brain and makes it difficult to follow a story. I feel like the characters are relatable and the characters are also distinctly different. we're learning more and more about this family and the different dynamics that each sibling has, dynamics of the parents and their marriage and the struggles that all of them are going through. Even though it is essentially an all-white cast, I still felt like the characters are very diverse. There are different diagnoses going on within the family structure, there are different handicaps that are going on within the family structure and within the significant others of the siblings of bringing in. All the characters feel touchable, and real. which I really am enjoying right now. Love love love love love love and moving on to the next one. 🏃🏾‍♀️

The story should've ended earlier

I really enjoyed the story for a long time. Until they got together and then I lost interest. Then I found it somewhat cringey. So, it kind of left a meh feeling even though I enjoyed it in the begining...

I don’t know

I went from almost not finishing to really liking it to being annoyed by the angst at the end, which was so stupid. I guess I’m glad I listened, but the author should take some notes on not writing unbelievable story lines.

Ron com with a twist! So sweet🥰

You guys you have to read this-there is a twist with autism and a love story. The story builds slowly but it is so worth it. Every girl wants a partner that gets us. Ren is so wonderful and supportive. Its the little things right… he is the boss of little things. I think I understand myself more through the female character!😍🥰

Fun story -also makes you think

Not a typical romance. The characters had more depth. Made me think about how someone with autism navigates the world. But it was still a fun book.

Love on the Spectrum

Chloe Liese does a great job of presenting the hard stuff. The second book in the series of 'Bergman Brothers' tackles Autism Spectrum, finding love and acceptance. This author seems to hr hitting all the things I have dealt with in my life and doing in respectfully.

The narrators; CJ Bloom and Nathan Hobbs delivery and timing is spot on. They don't belabor the emotions or drag out words unnecessarily. They play off each other respectfully as well. Thank you for such a great job of portraying the characters in the book.

Cute Cheesy Story

I’m not big into romance books but I needed something fun to listen to.
I like how the book had two voices the Male and Female voices, it was a nice touch to this audiobook. It was a fun, easy listen, and had some pretty cheesy and cringey parts. Again I am not huge into romance novels or anything of an intimate read, but I enjoyed listening to this book.

absolutely adorable and refreshing

first, loved the inclusivity of characters with various physical and neurological impairments. really cool lens to view the story through
I listened and was laughing out loud alone, it was really fun
I was actually really pleasantly surprised, well written, well narrated, characters had a fresh take and were intelligent.
Frankie won my heart within 2 minutes with her sass and cynicism, perfect humor, and deadpan delivery
Ren was just delightful all around as his sensitivities are slowly uncovered I fell in love with him right along with Frankie.
as with any romance story, there are a lot of elements that unrealistic or fairy tale feeling. and if I had listened like 6 months ago, Ren would not have been believable as a hockey jock (gentle and Shakespearean, I mean c'mon) but honestly I think this country is finally starting to admit that Men, and especially athletes, have emotions and feelings too and that you can cry and it isnt immasculating.
Ren is more believable as a character now that Travis and Jason Kelce are in the limelight for being sensitive and manly men, and that jocks have feelings too!
