About this listen

Behind every fortune is a crime. Yet for young Philly Mob boss "Little Vinny" Veccuto in the 1980s, his crimes were his passion. Centralizing his business in the back of a steak shop in Ducktown, Atlantic City, Vinny illegally reaps the riches of early casino construction. After he becomes "King of the Jersey Shore", Vinny sees his success put to the test between unbearable federal investigation, a violent drug war erupting in his own inner circle, and those closest to him in one way or another, turning their back to him.

From the glitzy casino lights on the sandiest beaches to the grim alleyways holding the city's darkest secrets, this story walks you through a tale based on one of the bloodiest eras in American Mafia history.

Great Tale of A Time Gone By

Really enjoyed Atlantic City Nights. It was a journey back to a Philly and AC that have begun to slip into the past. Classic morality play theme of absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nice plot line and great surprise filled moments.

Great story, great narration!

You could tell the guy reading the book had so much fun doing it. I had fun reading and listening. Can’t wait to hear more from this author, preferably around the Philly/AC mob heyday in the 80s.

Great Book!!

I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job o telling a story while f staying as authentic as possible to both Philly and Atlantic City in that period. The characters had depth, the story flowed well, even the language and the way it’s spoken are true to the region. . If you are sopranos/boardwalk empire/godfather fan, I’m sure you will enjoy this book.

Why bother?

This is probably Miley’s favorite book. I have listened to and I don’t know how long. The way that the guy reading it does the peoples voices was the most irritating thing ever. Be better for him to just read the novel and try to do the voices. And the whole story just went on and on and on. He could’ve told the whole thing in a three page short story. Reading this book.
