PRAYER AND HIS PRESENCE
Many times, when we pray, our prayers seem like a repetition of days before or have a sense of powerlessness. Do you ever feel like God is playing “hide-n-seek.” You are trying to earnestly touch the hem of His garment with a sincere prayer need, and although you know He will not leave or forsake us, you want to scream, “God, are You there?” “Lord, did You hear my petition and supplication?”
  • What hindrances block the manifested presence of God?
  • How do I seek and cultivate the Father’s manifested presence?
  • How can I practice and retain God’s manifested presence?
  • How do I get closer to God and feel His manifested presence?
  • What is the manifested presence of God when I pray?

This devotional book will cover two issues. The first is, “Where is God when we pray?” The second is “Winning the battle we face daily with our emotions.”

If we become more faith-based in our Christian walk and less “emotionally driven,” we will have more extraordinary encounters with God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

When we pray to the Father, we must realize that our Lord Jesus Christ did not save us to fix us. He saved us to replace us. We are bombarded with self-help theology that has convinced many that if we follow their ten-step plan, we can actually “fix” the old Adamic nature.

You know the cliches.
“Be the best version of yourself.” “Be true to yourself.” “Follow your heart.” “Listen to your heart.” “Trust your gut.” “Feel good about who you are.” “Happiness is what matters.” “Just be a good person.”

These all sound good and fine to our flesh. However, these mindsets cannot fix our thoughts, emotions, or actions. They are powerless to bring us before the presence of our heavenly Father.

In prayer, we must learn how to stand in the presence of the Father with His Word on our lips and hearts. We should see prayer as God’s invitation to visit and fellowship with Him. Prayer is a chance for us to fellowship with the Father because it is in the Father’s heart to express His love to His children.

Prayer means that we are invited and will be welcomed to the throne room of heaven. It is like joyful children running into the arms of a loving Father. In this time of fellowship, we hold His promises before Him. When our need touches the Lord by faith, it makes a demand upon His ability to meet that need.

So, dare to spend a few honest minutes placing your trust in God’s hands. Eliminate distractions and allow God’s Word to renew your mind. Acknowledge God’s presence and tell Him what is happening inside you right now. Thank Him for meeting you right where you are. The Father promised never to leave us or forsake us.
