Publisher's summary

Nancy Atherton's growing number of fans will certainly be delighted by Aunt Dimity's latest appearance in the honey-colored English cottage she bequeathed to her "niece", Lori Shepherd. Thanks to Aunt Dimity, Lori's life has taken on fairy-tale proportions: She's financially set for life and happily married...or so she thinks. When Lori's plans for a second honeymoon to England with her workaholic husband fall through, she begrudgingly takes along her father-in-law who promptly disappears, leaving behind a mysterious note. Inspired and guided by the ghost of Aunt Dimity and her inimitable blue journal, Lori's search for the elderly gentleman turns into a harrowing mission to uncover a centuries-old family secret complicated by mistaken identities, falsified deeds, family feuds, and Lori's unseemly attraction to her husband's beguiling English cousin. In a delightful chase that takes her all over the English countryside, Lori discovers the true meaning of marital bliss, and Nancy Atherton's fans, new and old, will savor a masterpiece of old-fashioned fun.

Gotta love Aunt Dimity

Ms. Atherton is a great storyteller. She describes each setting so it's easy to see it in my mind's eye. The narration was a bit slow but still tolerable. Looking forward to listening to next book in the series.

Aunt Dimity at last!

Would you consider the audio edition of Aunt Dimity's Good Deed to be better than the print version?

I enjoy having the story read to me; so I would have to say the audio edition is slightly better than the print version

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nell Harris hands down. I like Nell because she is such a curious mixture of wisdom and childlike wonder.

What aspect of Teri Clark Linden’s performance would you have changed?

Teri's performance improves with each book. Her performances would be better if she would read at a more natural pace and not put so much emphasis on enunciation.

If you could take any character from Aunt Dimity's Good Deed out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Lori because I think I would be comfortable with her.

Any additional comments?

I am thrilled that Audible is offering the Aunt Dimity series at long last. I love these books because they are full of light instead of darkness and the characters are, for the most part, ordinary folks that I can relate to and best of all, wrongs are righted. Please, please record all of the books in the series.

Great books! Terrible narration!

The book was very enjoyable but the robotic narration was a major distraction!! PLEASE get a new narrator so these books can be enjoyed

I Love Aunt Dimity

This is a great cozy mystery series, I absolutely love it and wait for the next one. The narrator may not be as polished as others, but I still enjoy her narration. I highly recommend this book and series.

Mostly for Dimity’s fans.

After a strong recommendation from a fellow book club member I embarked on the Aunt Dimity’s series. I enjoyed the first and second books of the series.
I found this one to be a bit confusing with different locations and many various characters. Had to rewind and re-listen to several parts. Maybe 3 of these in a row was overload.
However, the reader did a wonderful job - much better than the previous ones she did. Nell’s voice was excellent.
I plan to listen to more but will take a break from the series for now.

Aunt Dimity’s Good Deed

I really enjoyed this book. The uniqueness of the story line kept my interest though out. The narration could have used at least one other voice.
