The first book to self realization

Though the streams generate from different sources, they all reach the same ocean. The oceans themselves are separated by man’s mind but one can’t forget the truth that it’s one body of water that covers us all.

What made the experience of listening to Autobiography of a Yogi the most enjoyable?

I read this book in 98..with little understanding. Purchased book in 2015 but did not had time. The audio book was gift ....my daily commute is such a pleasure! I thank god for this audible book! What an effort by Ben Kingsley? Another OSCAR from me!

Awesome Autobiography!

Paramahansa Yogananda is a compelling story teller. The spiritual experiences he describes about the modern Hindu saints are amazing. Ben Kingsley did a great performance conveying the author's message.

Ben Kingsley brings the text to life.

I had read the Autobiography many years earlier, but was interested in re-visiting Yogananda's consummate piece. I decided to use a credit so that I could listen to the title while commuting. A better use of a credit I have not made. Ben Kingsley (yes, I knew he'd be good) took this story to a entirely different level. The dialog between different characters, the authenticity of expression, the pacing... his performance is awe-inspiring. If you are interested in an intriguing story of a notable Indian saint, this will not disappoint.

Rarely you come across books which leave a deep impact but it is rarest of rare to come across a book which completely changes you. Autobiography of a Yogi is such a book.

Inspirational life of a Saint

During my meditation, I asked The Divine for guidance. In his mysterious and loving way, he guided me to this book, by way of a friend who suggested that I read this book.
