Mary DiNunzio gets a terrifying telephone call while she's working late, then goes home to find a shadow lurking at her front door. When a lawyer close to her turns up dead, Mary begins to suspect that the case she's been working on -- involving the suicide of an Italian-American in an internment camp during World War II -- may not be ancient history after all.

Audiobook Review
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
This book had a bit of language, but not much, compared to some of her other work (you never know what you are going to get with Scottoline).
Some sexual references and crass talk, but not too much (reference to vibrator for instance, and enjoying sex). Violence was about the same as her other work. I appreciate that she doesn't dwell on violence in a sick way, as some other authors do these days!
Fun bit of history thrown in the mix!

Great book except

The story develops as I would imagine all mysteries do with the careful interviewing of anyone who has information. The reader feels each dead end and each moment of discovery.
I've listened to other books narrated by Barbara Rosenblat. The narration didn't disappoint and I was sucked right into the story and the characters.
First Scottoline but definately not my last!
