The master of naval thrillers returns with his most shocking “what if?” scenario yet: a terrorist hatches a bold plan to blow up a volcano—and devastate America

In the Canary Islands, in the southwest corner of the island of La Palma lies the massive crater of the volcano Cumbre Vieja. Scientists theorize that one day the volcano will explode. Nine hours after eruption a mega-tsunami with waves of more than 150 feet in height will crash onto American shores.

Now, what if something sent a nuclear missle into the volcano and blew it up? Ravi Rashood—America’s nemesis who first sprang on the scene in Barracuda 945 and is the most wanted man in the world—has hatched this diabolical scheme that will destroy cities from Miami to DC to Boston and all the cities in between. United States Admiral Arnold Morgan battles his greatest enemy yet, and races against time to stop Rashood before the unimaginable happens. With his trademark authentic research, military hardware, grasp of geopolitics and now cutting edge science, Patrick Robinson is at the top of his game with this new tale that you pray will never happen.

He makes each story exciting and moving right along. I wish there were more books

I love the Arnold Morgan series

I have read many other books by Patrick Robinson, and would like to hear more by this author. The Scimitar 12 was unbelievable in it?s timing of would events. The down side is that I felt shorted as this was not the unabridged version. I like the way he play?s the character against one another, and in this version some of that is missing. This is a good intro into Patrick Robinsons work, and I hope that audible would get the rest of his works , only in the unabridged version.

what Tom Clancy use to be

If someone wants to write a book with the military playing a large role, they should do the needed research.
The US Air Force does NOT fly from aircraft carriers.

A lot of inaccuracies

It was a good book, but not up to Patrick Robinson’s usual. I see now why it is only available in an abridged version. I didn’t particularly care for the narrator. When you listen to George Guidall on all his other full length books, it’s just not the same. Admiral Morgan only sounds one way, and that’s not British. However it was still a good story, it just wasn’t what I expected.

Slow but Steady

Good concept and solid until the last hour - buttons up a little too neatly. New VO actor also throws things off a bit, especially when you become accustomed to how certain characters sound in the previous books. Overall good, not great

Not the best of his work, but continues the story
