I should have read between the lines. This is simply very abridged editions of books that are wonderful in their original editions. A cheap trick.
The best thing about this book is the narrator. His talent is wasted here.

This book is listed as unabridged, which I suppose the book "Deep Blue" is unabridged, but the selected stories within this book are heavily abridged. This is inadequately disclosed in the publisher's summary.

The selected passages from excellent books by Patrick O'Brien and Robert Louis Stevenson (Tresure Island) are very short and not even "at sea".

In the Audible descriptive title it says:
"Deep Blue: Stories of Shipwreck, Sunken Treasure and Survival (Unabridged Selections)"
but these book selections ARE NOT UNABRIDGED.
