I know I'm not Alone . . .

. . . when I say that this audiobook was a delight. I am a fan of Gardner's and she does not disappoint on this book. I wasn't very impressed with the reader, but definitely like the book. Also, if you haven't read it yet, do read The Killing Hour and The Next Accident, Killing Hour is outstanding five stars!

OUTSTANDING

Keeps twisting and turning right until the end. Shows how there is hardly ever a clear 'black and white' to anything. Hope there is more on the way.

Twist & Turns

This was my first Lisa Gardner novel and it was so exciting! It had so many different twist & turns then tying all together!! The suspense kept me going! I wasn’t crazy about the narrators voice , that was the only struggle. But the book was an awesome read or listen. 😉

Anna Fields in over her head.

This is another hit for Lisa Gardner! With so many twists and turns, she will keep you guessing right up to the end...and beyond.
Anna Fields however, was in over her head. Her portrayal of Bobby Dodge and some of the other male characters were horrible. Bobby Dodge sounded like a dime store thug. He sounded nothing like intelligent and gentle professional that he was supposed to be. The voice Ms. Fields chose for him reminded me of some uneducated petty thief or maybe a member of a mob family. He did not sound at all like a respected professional sniper for the state police.
This was very disappointing. The only thing that made listening worthwhile was the story itself. It was just too good to stop listening based on the poor job by the reader. I hope in the future novels someone better is chosen to represent Lisa Gardner's books. I still recommend this book regardless.

Not bad

This was my first listen to a Lisa Gardner book. I went from Karin Slaughter to Lisa Gardner and I think the only thing in common was Police Procedural. I may listen to Book 2, but I think I need a couple of days to decide if I want to give up psychological thrillers for more of the Mystery/Suspense. I did not really resonate with the characters. If you are into solving mysteries, then this book is going to be a good one for you.
