Long time Dennis Lehane fan. Started with the movies (which he describes in the interview included with this collection as someone else’s work), then moved to his books and have enjoyed all of them that I’ve read (about 80% of his oeuvre). The stories here are mostly very good, and the last one is excellent.

I’m also a Stanley Tucci fan, as an actor, but in most of these stories, his precise diction feels detached and emotionally distant from the characters.

The interview with Mr. Lehane is a treat.

Dark , brutal, and doesn't hold back. Dennis always delivers a solid story. Simply beautiful. I highly recommend this!
