I am a liberal conservative and do not subscribe to a political party. I am also a gay Chaplain/Minister. I hate that I who I love needs a label.
A very good friend of mine once said to me when we were new friends, “I knew you were gay, but why didn’t you just tell me?”
I said to him, “Gary, I knew you were straight, but why didn’t you just tell me?”

No one knows how hard this journey has been and still is.
Mary Cheney, I didn’t always agree with Bush/Cheney politics. But quite frankly, I’ve never agreed 100% with anyone’s politics.
I do believe your Dad was a good man and he obviously loved you. That is the measure of a human.

Brave, Honest and with Integrity

Mary Cheney is an extraordinary individual who has shed light onto how difficult life is for an unconventional life. She has overcome a challenge nearly impossible, while retaining her parents’ love; and my deepest respect. The inability to have the one you love openly destroys a person from inside. I am heterosexual, and don’t have the person I love in my life, and feel incapable of moving forward without love. Thank you lord for helping me understand a fraction of what Mary Cheney may have felt through this book. Dick and Lynn Cheney are #1 parents.
