Publisher's summary

Here is the incomparable Dr. Seuss' story of an unnamed "you" whose travels through the world involve a series of ups and downs. His ultimate success, however, is "98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!"

Critic reviews

"Don't be fooled by the title of this seriocomic ode to success; it's not 'Climb Every Mountain,' kid version. All journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting. Seuss' familiar pajama-clad hero is up to the challenge, and his odyssey is captured vividly....Seuss' message is simple but never sappy: life may be a 'Great Balancing Act,' but through it all 'There's fun to be done.'" CONGRATULATIONS!!

Probably the best 7 minutes, I have listened to. The motivational words, read by the great John Lithgow, with stirring music, is just what you need to lift your spirits and get you ready for the day, the week, for life. Often a gift for graduation, it motivates and tells it like it is. Listen to it everyday on the way to work and it may make your days better.

GREAT BOOK FOR ANY AGE - Ages 0-120!!!!!!

This book is a book that I have purchased and given to people many times. I have given this book to children, as well as people well over their retirement age! It contains wisdom that is concentrated, precise, concise, simple, and gets easily absorbed by your mind. It helps to quickly "ground" and encourage anyone. The book is "short and sweet" as they say! Now that I've discovered this spectacular audio version of the book, I expect that I will wind up purchasing many audio copies of the book as well! This audio version is the best that I've ever heard. Such a blessing to be able to listen to this book while you do something else physically (like for those automobile trips or commutes. This helps the book's subject matter to enter the conscious and subconscious mind in a much more enjoyable and refreshing manner.

My favorite pick-me-up

for approximately the last 10 years of my life, I have used this audiobook as my own personal cheerleader. as a 12 year old I would listen to it 2-3 times in a row when I needed that extra boost and motivation. Now, at 21, I still listen to it on my way to work occasionally when I need that extra something. I nearly have it memorized. The book itself is a wonderful reminder that life WILL get hard or boring or tiring, but we are still living it. We are going places. The performance by Lord Faarquad- oops I mean John Lithgow- is stellar and hilarious. Absolute 10/10 on this one.
