I can fix it. I don't need directions. I can figure this out on my own. These thoughts that erupt from a man's bravado, from his deep urge to be a real man. Yet underneath this, there is a louder voice countering, You can't. You're not capable. You're weak. Many men-possibly all men-face two looming questions at some point in their life. What does it mean to be a man, and am I one? Way of the Wild Heart reaches out to "unfinished men" trying to understand and live their role as men and fathers. Exploring six biblically based stages, John Eldredge initiates men into a new understanding and ownership of their manhood and equips them to effectively lead their sons to manhood.

For a man of any age, young or old, who is looking for a bit of hope inside a drab and meaningless routine of life or striving for a bit of encouragement in facing the nagging battles of life that never seem to wane, there is something here for that man. Something good, beautiful, and full of life-giving power.

Book 9 of 2017 if you haven't read wild at heart you need to read it before you read this book. This is a phenomenal in depth follow up. Where was this book when I was growing up??? What an incredible look into what it is to be a man and how to travel the masculine path. Not filled with passivity but to find the king within. To learn how to be a warrior yet gentle at the same time. Will you choose to give what it takes to make this journey?

I thank God for this invaluable resource.

The wisdom filled in this book is astounding. I will forever be thankful to God for bringing this to me while my boys are young. The way Eldridge speaks wisdom without religious jargon is such a refreshment!

A MUST read

This book brings clarity to the spirit, mind and soul of a man. Teaching him and training the way of the heart. It helped me to get a grasp onto the words of the emotions and feelings I had as a child but had no words to the emotion to bring clarity and understanding of what was so real then. It brought healing that I didn’t know I so desperately needed.
