Good focus, bad reader

I think this title would be much better without the author reading it. He makes me hyper just listening to him because he races through everything so quickly, with very little punctuation in his reading. So, ideally, a book on meditation and psychic powers, would be a bit more relaxing. Otherwise, a pretty good listen to introduce some basic concepts.

It was a great help to me in a stressful time. I found the exercises calming and easy to do.

Excellent Psychic Development Audio Book

I've taken several Psychic Development Classes and this is an excellent alternative and/or additional practice to going to a seminar. It has very good meditations a beginner to intermediate can use. I like going to actual classes, yes, but an audio book with lots of excellent exercises is great because it can be played over and over again.

John Edwards also covers numerology, scrying, psychometry, tarot cards etc. This audio book is packed with practical, invaluable information.

Good stuff

This is a great meditation and a great way to open up your psychic abilities. There is a color meditation that really helps with the chakras and keeping you in balance. The only issue I have with the narration is that John goes really fast. He's a very fast paced man. Which if you are used to slowing down in your meditations, or are new to this. This will be a bit difficult for you. But over all it's a fantastic guide.

Great Information, Could Have Been Better

John Edwards spends a lot of time giving listeners a lot of great information along with funny anecdotes, suggestions, recommendations, and brief overviews of many different psychic modalities. In this, he was very very good and I thoroghly enjoyed it! What I did not enjoy, what kept me from giving 5 stars was the quality of the audio (I heard him turning pages throughout as well as someone speaking in the background) and his lightening speed as he led the listener through guided meditations. John, meditations are supposed to be relaxed, the person should feel softly led from visualization to visualization. I felt like I was being pulled out of each scenario before I could grasp it, like I had been given too much caffeine.
Had the audio quality been better, less talking in the background (this wasn't a speech, it was an audiobook) and slower guided meditations, it would have garnered 5 stars from me.
As for Developing my own Psychic Powers...don't expect miracles. The audiobook gives some good pointers, suggestions, and had the guided meditations been better perhaps yes. I found that taking his original suggestions in the meditation to meet your spirit guide and then using those in my own personal meditation I was able to do it better. But I do still give him all thanks for giving me those images in the first place. Very helpful and enjoyable tool.
