Now known as "Kasim The Spear", Casca is captured by fanatical Hashishi tribesmen. He is forced to commit murder after murder until the earth seems soaked with the blood of Hassan al Sabah's enemies.

Living under a curse from the lips of the crucified Christ on the hill of Golgotha in centuries past, the eternal mercenary must endure the horror of thousands of deaths, until, with his always growing skill at arms, he can claim a life of his own. Forever a fighting man, surviving many seemingly mortal wounds and condemned to outlive the ages, Casca waits for the one who cursed him to return.

This is audiobook 13 in the Casca Series.

I decided to read this because I was interested in reading historical fiction about the order of the Assassins but this book didn't show me anything I dint already know but it was ok.

OK... I guess

this story takes place in Persia where casca routinely has bad luck. It's a fun light-hearted story compared to the other more serious War novels in this series. as number 13, you find casca in the past however the world is expanding and we find many religions are side by side now. casca finds a few friends as well as a few enemies and finds himself in some precarious situations but overall he is not tortured like you think he is going to be and everything ends up ok in the end. This is a nice little story which is told very well but is not too serious which is also nice too.

Not bad.

Of the casca stories this one is the weakest and weirdest thus far (I'm listening in order). No real plot, Casca makes a lot of mistakes.

one of the weakest so far
