Based on decades of research and the aid of scholars from around the world, God Kings offers a scholarly and educated look into the world of royal bloodlines. The implications of this work are enormous, as they involve a lineage traced back to Odin, once believed to be a Norse god, whose lineage then merged with the bloodline of Jesus Christ himself.

As Professor Hugh Montgomery explains, many royal families around the globe know that they are indeed descended from Jesus and the Davidic line, and yet this incredible story has remained a secret for centuries. Discover why the line of David was so important and where it originated. Venture back to the time of Mesopotamia and the great god-kings of antiquity. Find out how widespread this bloodline is today and how even George Washington was a member of this elite lineage.

Professor Hugh Montgomery has steadfastly refused to be part of the Da Vinci Code debate, feeling the real facts have never been properly studied and accepted. Other authors, such as Michael Baigent, have consistently referenced Montgomery as a source for their own work, stating they had "been presented important documents". These documents are owned by Professor Montgomery and are represented here in God Kings for the first time.

poor recording with very poor music background - could not get beyond the first 20 minutes

poor recording

Overall, the worst book I have listened to.
The performance is horrible, the background music is too loud and makes it difficult to hear the interview. The echo is horrible, maybe recorded in a bathroom?
The story is self-gratifying rubbish. If it wasn't about him, it might have some small sliver of believability.

A complete waste of time and money

What could Hugh Montgomery have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Dump the music.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Hugh Montgomery?

Somebody with a clear speaking voice, as his accent is thick as porridge, exacerbated by music.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Irritation. Half of this hour seems to be music, which makes it difficult to understand Hugh.

Any additional comments?

Really, Holy Blood, Holy Grail gives a better story about this. Supposedly, this guy has proof supporting that book. Meantime, the real story is that all kings are Jewish. After all, Jesus was a Jew, so if they are descended from Jesus, ergo they are Jews. Whoopie.

Poor, Music Attempts to Save Story

About 30 minutes of this audio is nothing more then music.
The audio sounds like it’s been taken off of a very short Q&A that was recorded on a 1980’s camcorder and then an absolutely awful sound track placed over it so the speaker is nearly inaudible when speaking.

I very much regret the waste of time and money.

Please do not waist your money on this!

Although the content may be interesting to you, the poor production quality is distracting. There are minutes of music that do not add anything to the experience, they just make the book seem longer. There is much less than one hour of dialog in this audiobook. I say audiobook, but this is more accurately described as a recorded interview. Also, it was recorded in an echo filled environment, making some of the faster speaking segments difficult to understand.
Unfortunately, there were no reviews available when I bought this. Hopefully you can avoid this selection and find higher quality and a more detailed discussion elsewhere.
