easier to stomach than fedres story but no less dynamic for it

the voice actor is amazing. this is everything audiobooks should be. i love this series and loved listening to this book done justice by the narrator. thank you

I love these books. This is the first time I listened to them instead of reading them. The narrator is awesome, I very much enjoy his reading. The only thing that is a bit off is his voice impressions of women; he sounds like Mrs. Doubtfire when quoting females. It’s funny though.

Excellent coming of age tale.

Another great book in the Kushiel series.

I have only one nitpick. The new voice actor is a male since the POV character is different from the previous three in the trilogy, which would not be a problem if not for the fact he gives drastically different voices to recurring characters. It was slightly jarring at first having just come from the three prior audiobooks, but I got over it, and so will you if you give it a chance.
