Wonderful

I find a book most interesting when I can identify with the material (not too lofty), when the material is presented in a manner that is understandle for the average jane functioning in today's society, when it's presented with humor and when I have a couple ah-ha moments. This book met all of those criteria. Besides being funny at times and totally down to earth, it broadened my perspective. I especially enjoyed Caroline Myss's voice and intonation (although I don't believe everyone will). It was animated enough that I could almost picture her speaking. This is a book I'll listen to more then once because I'll get more out of it each time.

I wanted more...

I am a Caroline Myss fan in terms of the content and her body of work. I find her to be well researched and relatable; and this audio book is reflective of that work ethic. So while I found the book helpful, there are two reasons I didnt give it above average ratings:

1) She can be a bit preachy and even judgmental at times and this is a personal turn off for me. I feel it distracts me from getting my own personal meaning and connection with the material.
2) I wish she would have gone into how to use intuition as a natural resource. She spends a lot of time telling you that this "ability" is innately human and that it requires a lot of work and courage to truly develop it but I was hoping for excercises or example of how to see intuition at work in our everyday, mundane lives.

I suppose that's her point- intuition is accessible all the time, for every reason, but I felt this reading was almost a warning along the likes of "be careful what you wish for" because not every one will embrace your intuition and you may unwittingly alienate yourself from those who are not on the same path as you. That said, she hits on some really good stuff but I would only recommend this to someone who sees their spirituality as a work in progress, not a gift to discover and pontificate.

I've listened to/read some of her work before and I thought this book gave a lot of great insight. She reminds us of the intuitive power we already have and how to discover its voice!

This book has strengthened my willingness to trust and empower my truth, intuition and own messages. Caroline Myss, again is so amazing and such an inspirational soul!
