New York Times and USA Today best-selling Christian novelist Beverly Lewis continues her tradition of Amish stories with the Annie's People series. In the first book, Lewis addresses young Annie Zook's inner conflict between the strong bonds of her family and faith and the allurement of her talent. Her love of drawing has thus far prevented her from choosing a husband, much to her Old Order preacher father's consternation. Annie's feelings grow further convoluted when her longtime pen pal from the outside world, Louisa Stratford, comes to visit and encourages her to cultivate her gift.Don't miss more from Beverly Lewis.©2005 Beverly Lewis (P)2006 Recorded Books Christian Fiction Christianity Fiction Genre Fiction Ministry & Evangelism Women's Fiction Amish

Great story, probably an awesome read but the narrator was annoying. Somebody should have informed her how to pronounce Zook. It's the same as book, took, look....not zoo. It was distracting and irritating and not the only mispronounciation.

-1 for narrator

Another wonderful book by Beverly Lewis. I really enjoyed the narrator on this one because she really captured the lingo and expressions that I imagine Louisa having. A cozy book to cuddle up with under the covers to get lost in the story. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

A great narrator!
