When a wealthy couple dies, Jim Qwilleran and his cats, Koko and Yum Yum, must follow the case to its explosive conclusion in this mystery in the bestselling Cat Who series.

The town of Pickax is buzzing with excitement: its residents are about to celebrate the 150th anniversary of its founding. But in the midst of all the preparations, Qwill has to take time out to entertain aspiring architect Harvey Ledfield—and deal with Koko’s strange new habit. Because the Siamese star has started dropping from balconies and landing in the oddest of places, including on Harvey’s head! And now that Harvey’s aunt and uncle have mysteriously gone missing, Qwill better brush up on his paw language before Pickax is hit with a bombshell...©2005 Lillian Jackson Braun; (P)2005 Penguin Audio and Recorded Books, LLC

you can tell she's getting near the end of her run. it's a good book but alas short and a lot of unanswered questions.

Those humans such as ourselves know that we are well trained by our humans. That is why I love listening to the series about two wonderful cats who help to solve the mystery of the story. You just have to know that there seems to be more truth to what comes from the cat then what comes out of the human.

I am a fan of these books not just because the stories are well written and entertaining but because I have an ongoing love for George Guidall as the. Narrator. His voice takes me on the journeys of the story like I was actually there. Thank you for this gift of peaceful pleasure.

Sorry this one just seemed to be an after thought rather than a story. Not a favorite.
