Changeling knight in the court of the Duke of Shadowed Hills, October “Toby” Daye has survived numerous challenges that would destroy fae and mortal alike.

Now Toby must take on a nightmarish new assignment. Someone is stealing both fae and mortal children — and all signs point to Blind Michael. When the young son of Toby’s closest friends is snatched from their Northern California home and his sister falls into a coma-like state, the situation becomes way too personal. Toby has no choice but to track the villains down, even when there are only three magical roads by which to reach Blind Michael’s realm — home of the legendary Wild Hunt — and no road may be taken more than once. If she cannot escape with all the children before the candle that guides and protects her burns away, Toby herself will fall prey to the Wild Hunt and Blind Michael’s inescapable power.

And it doesn’t bode well for the success of her mission that her own personal Fetch, May Daye - the harbinger of Toby’s own death — has suddenly turned up on her doorstep….

We find our heroin in the dark and scary lands of Blind Michale ,one of the first born who has a thing for stealing children from there beds in the dead of night ,when he takes Toby's friends Mitch and Stacy kids she is on a mission to rescue them, but the price is a high one.
Seanan get's a little dark in this one and I don't scare easily but this was a little unnerving I love these books and I would recommend every single one I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did .

Dark Daye's

This is an important story within the overall series and includes a lot of key actions that will have consequences in future books. So it's definitely a must read for the story, but more importantly it's a really well written story that keeps you engaged throughout. Although there is a little repetition of information, it's not so bad that I was annoyed.

Overall I loved this book and highly recommend. Even as a standalone if you were looking for just a fun fantasy adventure with dark elements, this is a good one. There are hints at a future romance direction but nothing more then a few looks and some awkwardness with two of the male characters. Lots of violance and blood though, but if you've read the other books in this series you should expect that now.

Well Written and Gripping Story

McGuire is finally hitting her stride with this series. Fun, dark story that is much less derivative than the first two.

Great book. Fantastic book. But words cannot express how much I can't stand this narrator. Her enunciation is off, putting emphasis on the wrong part of sentences and overly pronouncing every syllable and letter in words. Half the side characters become valley girls whether it fits the character or not. If I didn't love the books so much I'd have returned them because of her.

I have to grit my teeth through the narrator
