Really liked all of the other Douglas Reeman Audible books I have listened to but found this one far less exciting.

This book doesn't have as much action as some other books by Douglas Reeman but has more heart than some others. I read some of the other reviews for this book and everyone is entitled to their opinion but in my opinion this was one of his best books. I really cared for his characters in this one.

This book is not for anyone. There are thousands of fantastic novels about the war at sea, at you should rather spend your precious time listening to those.

No.

What does David Rintoul bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He reads fast. Gets over with it. Good.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's not all that long.

Shallow, false characters. Notthing but clichés.

Hours wasted waiting for any sea battles. Character development was tedious. A predictable formula love affair with the gallant captain and nice girl. If you want to listen to this, wait until it is free.
