A heartwarming tale of terror in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. Meet Sarah and David. Once upon a time, they met and fell in love. But now they’re on the verge of divorce and going to couples’ counseling.

Most of my favorite zombie books build tension and have a sense of impending doom. This has a little of that, the characters seem to escape danger easily. What I do really like about this series is the humor. I love the bickering between Sarah and David and the "marriage counseling / zombie survival rules" that start each chapter. "The couple that slays together, stays together". Recommend this series for a light read, maybe to break up any darker zombie books you may be reading.

Who knew that the apocalypse could save your crumbling marriage? This book is hilarious and gross and I loved it. Writing is a brutal field but if success is writing a story that makes people smile and gross them out, Jesse Petersen is an MVP in my book. I know bad pun :/

I found this to be very amusing. I love how each chapter starts with a phrase from the couples' counseling and how it applies to the zombie Apocalypse. It is the first book in a trilogy, followed by Flip this Zombie and Eat Slay Love.

From starrt to finish, I really enjoyed this book. The dialog and action was believeable, humorous and invoked a rainbow of emotions throughout. I only wish this was a series - I would absolutely love to read more from this author. Fun and interesting - I loved it.
