Joseph the Bellmaker is troubled. It has been four seasons since his warrior-mouse daughter, Mariel, and her companion, Dandin, set off from Redwall to fight evil in Mossflower. Nothing has been heard of them since. Then one night, in a dream, the legendary Martin the Warrior comes to the Bellmaker with a mysterious message. Clearly, Mariel and Dandin are in grave danger. Joseph and four Redwallers set off at once to aid them. As they push over land and sea, they cannot know the terrible threats they face: the impossible Foxwolf, Urgan Nagru, his mate Silvamord, and their vicious rat hordes. Can the impetuous sailor-otter Finbarr Galedeep help them cross the sea? What is the mystery of Roaringburn? And most important, will the Bellmaker and his companions arrive in time to help Mariel and Dandin?

I loved this continuation of the tale of Mariel of Redwall in a new land. There's Pirates, Wolves, and ADVENTURE. I'm sure everyone will love this book as much as I did, and I'm 22!

A captivating Sequel to Mariel of Redwall

I read this book as a kid I started reading red wall in second grade. My dad encouraged me to read the first two pages. After that he could not get me to put the book down I credit Jacquees for my elegance of speech and my love of storytelling
Honestly, I don’t think I would be where I am today if it was not for these books and as an adult, listening to them on audiobook is truly amazing

One of the strongest works in the legendary Redwall series, the Bellmaker takes the audience along for a rousing adventure across high seas and distant lands, in a compelling rendition of the classic struggle between good and evil. Tenacious heroes find themselves battling against terrible vermin, ruthless nature, and grim odds as they strive to bring peace and freedom to the foreign realm of Southsward.

Courage and valor, humour and tragedy, good food and better companions - it's all here, delivered in the rich descriptive style Jacques has always kept as his signature. The cast does a generally excellent job delivering the performance, and Jacques' narration is, as always, robust and on-point.

If there were any single Redwall audiobook I would recommend above all others, it would be the Bellmaker, You can't go wrong with this timeless title. A wonderful story, for young and old alike.

What an adventure!
