Somebody’s interfering with time. The Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack arrive on modern-day Earth to find the culprit - and discover a Neanderthal Man, twenty-eight thousand years after his race became extinct. Only a trip back to the primeval dawn of humanity can solve the mystery. Who are the mysterious humans from the distant future now living in the distant past? What hideous monsters are trying to escape from behind the Grey Door? Is Rose going to end up married to a caveman? Caught between three very different types of human being - past, present and future - the Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack must learn the truth behind the Osterberg experiment before the monstrous Hy-Bractors escape to change humanity’s history forever... This is a gripping adventure featuring the Ninth Doctor as played by Christopher Eccleston, together with Rose and Captain Jack as played by Billie Piper and John Barrowman in the hit series from BBC Television. It is read by Anthony Head, who played Lucas Finch/Brother Lassar in the Doctor Who episode 'School Reunion'. Science Fiction

I love love loved this Doctor Who, it's got Team TARDIS with Nine and Rose and Jack and follows a few different stories at a time, so one never gets bored. Never saw the ending coming.

This story is ok. The narrator is what makes it such an enjoyable listen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is an exciting story with plenty of humour and some serious thoughts as well. The characters are very well done; the regulars are true to their on screen lives, and the original characters are believable and interesting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Daz -he must have been quite challenging to write. This Neanderthal is far from stupid,
yet has great difficulty with some human concepts. Jack Harkness being his mentor is quite entertaining!

Which character – as performed by Anthony Head – was your favorite?

I think he got Jack's voice the best. Somehow he doesn't sound like the 9th Doctor at all this is my only problem with the performance, but all the other characters and the narration are great and I much enjoyed listening.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but only because I didn't want it to end so I rationed it a bit.

Outstanding story!
