A RITA Award nominee and USA Today best-selling author, Heidi Rice is hailed for her ability to craft tales “that immediately catch your attention” (RT Book Reviews). In Public Affair, Secretly Expecting, Hollywood bad boy Mac Brody has no interest in attending his brother’s wedding. That is, until an unexpected encounter with bridesmaid Juno Delamare leaves his head spinning - and his heart longing for more.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different narrator.

What other book might you compare Public Affair, Secretly Expecting to and why?

The first book to this series, Hot Shot Tycoon, Indecent Proposal. It's about Mac's older brother.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The accents were terrible. I would have preferred it if she would have just read the book in her normal speaking voice. Every time a conversation was being read it made me cringe.

What character would you cut from Public Affair, Secretly Expecting?

The narrator.

Any additional comments?

This was the first Harlequin Presents I've listened to and will be the last. In future I'll stick to reading them. It's amazing how a narrator can ruin what is usually an enjoyable read. Waste of a credit.

Worst Harlequin experience ever!
