What do you say about an author who knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. I read all 600 pages in one day, and then I had to get the audiobook so I could listen to Jim Frangione tell the story like no one else could. Unlike the other books in this series, you don't know what the outcome will be. There are so many twists and turns that everything you thought about the vampire couples is turned upside down.

I have been fascinated with the BDB since I read Lover Avenged. The book was so good that I had to go to the first book and read them all. There has always been a flow that I could count on. The inevitable was almost predictable. Not true with Lover Reborn. I spent the entire time I was reading on the verge of tears, tears of happiness and tears of sorrow. Ms. Ward has created characters that become real. They are strong, yet vulnerable. You get invested in their flaws, tragedies, and happiness. Even the bad guys are not really the bad guys, just different, with different points of view.

Don't get me wrong, I hope that Wrath and his men always win in the end, but I had to take a step back and consider Xcor and his men's feelings. This did not happen before. The Lessening Society was always wrong, always bad, and I always wanted them to lose the fight.

Please don't make this book your first taste of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Start from Dark Lover and work your way through the series. You won't be sorry, and everything will make more sense.

Renewed my interest

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would. This book renewed my interest in the series. After the last book I was a little hesitant to pick this one up, but I have always loved Tohr.

What did you like best about this story?

That is was the typical brother love story. This book showed that even though Wellsie was his heart and life, he could go on and be happy again. I have felt that pain after losing my beloved to cancer in the past year. I could relate.

What about Jim Frangione’s performance did you like?

I love Jim's performance on all the books. He makes the characters come alive and keeps the story moving.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made me cry near the end when Lassiter made his sacrifice. You could see that of all the brother's Tohr would have the biggest effect on him as he is a good and decent male. The other brothers have the same qualities, but he really does exemplify them.

Would you listen to Lover Reborn again? Why?

I have listened to all the black dagger brotherhood books twice and I find that JR Ward leaves me with just enough at the end of each book to makes antsy for the next book.Her books always grab me from the beginning and I am hooked until the last paige wanting moor.

What other book might you compare Lover Reborn to and why?

My interest in the subject matter is already there. I have all of Chris Feehan's Dark series and I really wish she would write more.

What about Jim Frangione???s performance did you like?

His performance let me shut my eyes and use my imagination to be there, It is like old time radio shows.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did not want to put the book down, but I had to sleep and do other things as well.

I really do not wish for Jr Ward to rush her next book because she does such a good writer but I am waiting with baited breath for the next book

Good but not great

Where does Lover Reborn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have enjoyed the series. I liked this book but it was not as good as the others. I will continue to listen to the series. I hope the next book is a little better.

Would you consider the audio edition of Lover Reborn to be better than the print version?

Every thing that you would need in a series. Laughing, suspence, crying. Just want it to keep going, don't want it to end. Although I was upset at the end. It just stops, Not sure if there is another book, there really should be, cause the whole story is not told. Every book in the story has a great ending, but this one is the best. Narrator could have been better, not much of a differant tone for each person, and females didn't have the right tones. But loved the fact that they kept the same guy in each book.
The men discribed in this book was awsome, and the sex, wow. Wish my man could do some or all of it. I know my whole family was getting a little sick of me listening to it cause I just could not put it down. Plus at work people were looking at me funny cause I would just bust out laughing at some of the spots.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole ending about the meaning of life and death was great, and how you could change the colors of life and death and still get the same effect. Would give you something to really think about.
Why do we put white with the marrage and black with the death? Who started it and why does everyone follow along with it?
