The first book in this thrilling, terrifying series by New York Times bestselling author Barry Lyga is perfect for fans of Dexter.

It was a beautiful day. It was a beautiful field.

Except for the body.

Jazz is a likable teenager. A charmer, some might say.

But he's also the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, "Take Your Son to Work Day" was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could--from the criminals' point of view.

And now, even though Dad has been in jail for years, bodies are piling up in the sleepy town of Lobo's Nod. Again.

In an effort to prove murder doesn't run in the family, Jazz joins the police in the hunt for this new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret--could he be more like his father than anyone knows?

From acclaimed author Barry Lyga comes a riveting thriller about a teenager trying to control his own destiny in the face of overwhelming odds.

Would you listen to I Hunt Killers again? Why?

If you enjoy shows like "Criminal Minds", or scary and gross crime shows revolving about serial killers, then you will love this book. The story was different, interesting, and I loved the main character. The narrator was also very good. I cant wait for the sequel!

I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga is a young adult thriller that delves into the dark world of serial killers and forensic investigation. The story follows Jasper "Jazz" Dent, the son of notorious serial killer Billy Dent, as he becomes involved in a new series of murders in his small town.

Pros:

Good character building: Lyga excels at creating complex and compelling characters. Jazz is a particularly fascinating protagonist, grappling with his dark legacy and struggling to define his own identity. The supporting characters, such as Jazz's best friend Howie and his girlfriend Connie, are also well-developed and add depth to the story.

Meticulous research: It's evident that Lyga conducted extensive research into serial killers and forensic investigation. The book is filled with accurate and intriguing details about criminal psychology, crime scene analysis, and investigative techniques, adding a layer of realism to the narrative.

Cons:

Unsatisfying ending: One of the main criticisms of the book is its ending. The story builds to a huge climax, but it doesn't provide a true sense of closure. Instead, it leaves the reader with numerous unanswered questions and unresolved plot threads. This can be frustrating for readers who prefer a more complete and satisfying resolution.
