A pretty good story

Have you listened to any of Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to any of their other audio work. I am familiar with their voices from the screen work they have done.

Any additional comments?

The audio editing was still a little messed up where if doubled back on itself but I was prepared for that from other reviews I read. They still hadn't fixed it when I got the book.

I thought this was a pretty good book. Martin Sheen's writing is a little better than Emilio Estevez's. He tends to be a little precious both in the content and in the delivery. But I really enjoyed the frank nature of the story they tell and I am glad I got this book.

Well worth the time!

Not only is the story an interesting one, but the reading by Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez is exceptionally enjoyable. I am so pleased to have purchased this book!

I loved everything about it!
The honesty and authentisity in which they portray their lives, with their corresponding ups and downs, is remarkable.
It gives me a whole new level of appreciation for the Estevez-Sheen family. They are hard working, down-to-earth, imperfect and always having to live in the spot light, jet very family and community oriented people.
In an individualistic world that tells us that everybody is disposable (starting with the unborn), and doesn't seem to want to risk their own comfort and convenience in exchange for meaningful relationships, that sometimes are going to be messy and chaotic, this book is all about building each other up, respect and faithfulness.

A little too much about movies and filming for me, but overall a great book.

I learned a lot about both Emilio and Martin. I especially loved hearing about taking the kids on location and all the details about how they lived while there.

What does Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

So much more personal coming from their voices. I felt like they were both talking to me.
