Critic reviews

"A pleasant, personalized account of two celebrities-- singer/entertainer Sullivan... and TV star White... and the guide dog who touched both their lives. When Sullivan, blind since birth, realizes that his devoted guide dog, a golden retriever named Dinah, is herself losing her sight, he begrudgingly decides to adopt a new working dog--a strapping young Labrador retriever named Nelson. But when Dinah cannot accept the ``career change'' to family pet, it is longtime friend and animal-lover White who comes to the rescue by taking Dinah in." ( Kirkus Reviews)

So happy that Betty & Tom shared Dinah's story. Two remarkable people & one amazing dog! It taught me quite a bit about blindness & dogs.

This story is such a sweet journey of Dinah, the leading lady! But it also shares how animals and humans connect, each relationship unique. I cried multiple times during my listen out of sheer gratitude and definitely saw parallels to my own life!

I loved the narration. clear and professional. its the best of Betty's book. I will continue to read more of her work. I also loved Tom's story. I have never read anything written by a blind person. I learned a lot by looking into Tom's head and life.

The beautiful story of Dinah

What I enjoyed was listening to Betty and Tom and looking at the world through Tom’s “eyes”.
