A classic from Agatha Christie, the original queen of mystery.

When a stranger runs his car into a ditch in dense fog in South Wales and makes his way to an isolated house, he discovers a woman standing over the dead body of her wheelchair-bound husband, gun in her hand. She admits to murder, and the unexpected guest offers to help her concoct a cover story.

But is it possible that Laura Warwick did not commit the murder after all? If so, who is she shielding? The house seems full of possible suspects.

What did you love best about The Unexpected Guest?

At the outset, let me say that this was a totally logical ending, and should have been expected. Yet, with Mrs. Christie's tales, there is always a soupçon of doubt, right up to the last minute.

What about Hugh Fraser’s performance did you like?

Mr. Fraser is always excellent! I have never heard him give less than a stellar performance, whether by reading, or on the telly or cinema. My compliments and thanks.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Things are seldom what they seem...or are they?

Unexpected, indeed!

Some of the story jumped ahead in an improbable way but it was fun nevertheless with a surprise ending!

A little silly but fun
