I remember starting to read Robert Ludden books sometime in the early 70s. I think I went on a binge that was before you could order anything online so I meant I had to go to the bookstore. I also got a lot of sunburn lying out of my roof to my apartment building reading and reading and I just remember calling in sick for over two weeks saying I had the flu.
For some reason, the Osterman weekend was the title that stuck in my head all these many years so I got it on audible and just listen to it again. Although yes, I can note the lack of smart phones and GPS not so much really really very well it holds up , I enjoyed it maybe as much time as I did the first time and I think I'm on to listen to some more Ludlum again this time I don't have to call in sick with the flu

Better than I remembered from "70s

Like someone else said “too long about nothing” just a contrived mystery that has to be explained in the last chapter or you wouldn’t even get it .
