Not a bad little story

It's funny. I actually was wondering why Balif was the name of an elf and the name of a kender back in the day! Good little one shot tale!

The Wanderfolk

This book was AWSOME. I loved absolutely everything about it. It was a treat to see the Kender (who are called The Wanderfolk by Balif) origin story. This is like reading DragonLance mythology. Do yourself a favour, come back to Kryyn.

forest king review

Absolutely loved this book. Somewhat struggled to finish it because of my work schedule but managed to do so in a sufficient amount of time. Balif Thraxenath may have been a minor character held prisoner by Karada in the Barbarians trilogy, many people will probably say he suffered as a lycan after being cursed by Vedvedsica I don't think that was the case. In my own opinion, I believe he was made to appear like the character Beorn in the Hobbit, elf by day and bearcat by night. Nothing involving the cycle of the moon.

A nice standalone story.

I'm just getting back to reading Dragonlance, I was worried about reading this because of it being part of a larger series but it stands on its own. A nice introduction to Kender and reintroduction to Silvanest.

Terrible to bad…

The book goes from terrible to bad over the course of the story. There were continuity errors between this novel and the Barbarians Trilogy set some 1200 years earlier. An unacceptable failure on the part of the author and editor.
