Posing as one of Robin Hood's thieves to avoid the evil Lord Gisbourne, Scarlet has kept her identity secret from all of Nottinghamshire. Only Big John and Robin Hood know the truth - that the agile thief posing as a whip of a boy is actually a fearless young woman with a secret past. It's getting harder to hide as Gisbourne's camp seeks to find Scarlet and drive Robin Hood out of Nottinghamshire. But Scarlet's instinct for self-preservation is at war with a strong sense of responsibility to the people who took her in when she was on the run, and she finds it's not so easy to turn her back on her band and townspeople. As Gisbourne draws closer to Scarlet and puts innocent lives at risk, she must decide how much the people of Nottinghamshire mean to her, especially John Little, a flirtatious fellow outlaw, and Robin, whose quick smiles and temper have the rare power to unsettle Scarlet. Full of exciting action, secrets, and romance, this imaginative retelling of the classic tale will have listeners following every move of Robin Hood and band of thieves.

The narration for this novel was awesome. It gets a little hokey that the characters are too dense to be able to read their friends they spend all their time with, so it feels very YA, but I always want to see more robin hood variations.

Great Narrator

Character development and intriguing twists on this old tale made this listen an enjoyable one. So enjoyable I immediately downloaded the next books in the series. The narrator is talented and easily kept me connected to who was speaking when. Worth your download! AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

An interesting take on a classic tale

This was a really fresh and exciting take on a tale that has been told over and over again. The story was good and Scarlett was very 3 dimensional character. The narrator was phenomenal with all the accents and voices!!!. Greatly enjoyed this audio book. Highly recommend.

Very unique twist on Robin Hood!

I love this book. I have read the actual book version so I thought I would "reread" via Audible. I still love the book and the series, but it was real hard for me to get over the readers style of reading. It was hard because the way she read it was not how I read it in my head. She was very lack luster and seemed to lack a lot of emotion.

Great Story

It took me a while to actually buy it, which was why I put it on my wish list. I was still undecided about it, and when I did buy it and started in, I nearly regretted my decision. Then I regretted NOT GETTING IT SOONER. This book is and unexpected expected unexpected surpise, (those who have read countless amounts of books, and some of those books that are of this sort, will know exactly what I mean by these words). I've already bought the next book, and now that I think about, it I don't regret buying this book sooner because now I can read the next books without a wait ;)

Amazing
