The Dialog Sparkles

This is the first time I have read a book by Gwen Hunter. I discovered after I bought the book it is part three of a series. Apparently the series has been out since 2004, but with the new release in Kindle and audio format it has revived the series.

The series is set in Dawkins County, a rural part of South Carolina. Rheane Rheaburn Lynch, M.D. is an emergency room physician for Dawkins County’s small hospital. This particular book deals with faith healing. There is lots of medical terminology, all explained and lots of suspense, action, humor as well as small southern town politics.

Hunter has developed highly rich complex characters and a compelling suspenseful plot. It is a fast easy read. Carol Hendrickson narrates the story.

Getting better with each book!! Surprises in every chapter. Definitely worth reading. Looking forward to the next one..

Narrator Voice

I honestly think if I had read this book, it would have been fine. I just couldn’t get past listening to to the horrible voice and accent of the narrator. I live in the South, but I am not familiar with this type of accent.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

this series quickly became a favorite of mine! I couldn't stop once I started! I NEED MOREEEEE! i would love to see it made into a huge series like the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell! I LOVED IT ALL! not one thing negative to say about this series!

Somewhat Predictable Story

This is the 3rd book in the series of Dr Rae Lynch. Unfavorably I found this story although good in places was somewhat predictable. The plot was strange confusing and in places repetitive.
Will take a break and revisit the final book later.
Overall a 3 the performance was tired lacking the usual enthusiasm.
