He admires the tough women around him, yet wants a woman from the city. By chance, he's at the telegraph office and gets a letter from a relative back east, wanting to visit, along with her husband and a young woman. They all meet and Garret grows to love the spirited young woman but a few weeks later she tells him something which may change his mind forever.

What did you love best about The Western Mail Order Bride: Garret and Meredith in Montana's Bitterroot Foothills?

Even though the Scripture wasn't quoted in this story, the reaction of Garrett to Meredith's revelation reminded me so much of Romans 7:15-25.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Western Mail Order Bride: Garret and Meredith in Montana's Bitterroot Foothills?

I especially liked Meredith's first reaction when she saw the Montana vistas - spectacular!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As noted above during Meredith's telling her 'secret' to Garrett, I found myself speaking aloud during the story, "No! Don't do that!" But alas, he reacted in his humanness.

Any additional comments?

This story is such a wonderful example of our human failings and God's mercy and grace to us, of which we are so undeserving. Glory to God for his wondrous love!

A lesson in judgment and forgiveness :-)
