Mystery, romance and paranormal creatures abound. A killer is loose In the streets of Philly, victims appear to be drained dry and dressed like dolls. Local police are trying to solve the crime when Kade shoes up looking to investigate on behalf of P-Cap. Sydney is tough as nails and doesn't want Kade to interfere in her investigation, but at the same time she's drawn to the tall dark and deadly vampire. With time running out can these two solve the crime while trying to not loose control professionally and personally.

This reader channels William Shatner.

At times I was giggling at how stiff this reader is. His pauses are pure Shatner. I hope he loosened up in the other books.

this was pretty good to fill some time. I'm surprised that I liked it so mich.

Ookay, sometimes a bit laughable with ...

all those doubts.. How a strong "heroine" can be so plagued by doubts I don't understand. And marriage the magic word while bonded simply considered beneath her?! Oh, please....

I like the world created, a bit foggy in its lines, but this is the first book, perhaps it gets better defined in the next books, I am curious about Tristan's story, so I'll go on following the book order

Sexy brooding vamp meets hard hearted cop

The story line is great and the characters are relateable. I won't be a spoiler, so I will just say I love the heat! I almost didn't listen past capter one because of the narrators penchant to channel Capitan Kirk. Thankfully he overcomes that as the book progresses. The weird pauses aside, this book is worth the read. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
