Love a good monster story! This is the 1st I've read of Maberry's vampire stories... or any of his books. This one was short & to the point, & packed a whollop. I haven't read the preceding book in this series, but this 2nd book can be read as a stand-alone...one you can't put down/turn off the soumd... till the last word...the very last... graphic...bloody...word...
