There's no denying trouble finds Rose Gardner like a divining rod finds water, especially when Rose finds herself in the middle of a bank robbery. But after the robbers steal her deposit bag - containing a large amount of cash - she soon finds out that thanks to her sister Violet's financial mismanagement, trouble is threatening her business as well.

To top it off, Rose's ex-boyfriend Joe Simmons has moved back to Henryetta to fill the chief deputy sheriff position. Rose's involvement as a witness is the perfect opportunity for Joe to reinsert himself into her life. But Mason Deveraux, Fenton County Assistant District Attorney and Rose's new boyfriend, has waited too long for Rose to give her up without a fight.

Rose's pregnant best friend, Neely Kate, suggests they find the robbers using Rose's visions and Neely Kate's knowledge about everything in town. The women are soon hot on the trail of the stolen money, but Rose is caught off guard when Neely Kate's snoopiness detects the biggest complication of all: Rose might be expecting a baby of her own.

i can only hope that Rose’s wishy-washy behavior has Finally come to an end. it would have been almost understandable if that test has turned out another way, but as not, she was just ridiculous throughout.
i absolutely can not Stand joe Or violet anymore!! they both just completely suck, and that’s the nicest thing i can come up with. they may be fictional characters, but i’ve known plenty of ppl exactly like both of them and, maybe my backbone is stiffer than rose’, but i Don’t let ppl like Those two in my life. my sister would Never treat me the way violet treats rose! i don’t think most sisters would. idk, maybe i’m just lucky. or blessed with a wonderful sister!
i haven’t decided if i’m going to spend the money on the next book, after all the truly aggravating stuff in this one. i’m definitely taking a break. if the books were free on kindle, so as to get a better price on the audiobook, i’d probably already have bought it. but 7$ on kindle Plus more to buy it here on audible? yeah, i just don’t know yet ..

I have to admit that I like the narrator that did the first few books with the thick southern accent betrer.

If there is trouble within a 50 mile radius ... It always finds Rose. A twist on my emotions and unexpected conclusion. Can't wait for the next one.

Complications indeed

Most of the other books were better. I am still waiting to find out who destroyed the nursery. Is Rose ever going to ask her sister if she's still seeing the mayor? The narration was really very well done.

Come on, how many things can go wrong?

I just love Rose and her the semi-dangerous adventures - her quirkiness, her stumbling accidentally on crimes, her naiveté, and her good heartedness. Like the other books in this series, this story is beautifully written and expertly delivered. Rose is a 24 year old women living in a nosy closed minded small town. She experiences visions that she’s compelled to share with the person she has them of. In this story, Rose is continuing to learn about who she is and how to live her life with friends, a boyfriend, tension with her sister, and an issues with her business. In this story, Rose, of course, finds herself suddenly in the middle of intrigue and danger when she is in the bank when there is a robbery and without her stolen deposit Rose could lose her business. While she tries to get her money back, she continues to deal with lots of unresolved issues in her life. Mason, Joe, Violet, Jonah, Neely Kate, and Bruce Wayne again play important secondary roles and help the story progress and Rose’s character grow. The book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, exciting action, danger, family drama, painful pasts, mystery, plot twists, imperfect characters, and all the big feels - laughing, crying, swooning, cringing, teeth gritting, angry stomping, hyperventilating, and cheering. I cannot wait to read what happens next in Rose’s life.

Shannon McManus did a great job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

More Rose, more danger and more fun
