***THE SEQUEL TO THE INTERNATIONALLY BESTSELLING BOOK ME BEFORE YOU - THE FILM ADAPTATION WILL BE RELEASED JUNE 3RD***

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable, audiobook edition of After You by the Jojo Moyes, the stunning sequel to the worldwide phenomenon Me Before You. Read by Anna Acton.

Lou Clark has lots of questions.

Like how it is she's ended up working in an airport bar, spending every shift watching other people jet off to new places.

Or why the flat she's owned for a year still doesn't feel like home.

Whether her close-knit family can forgive her for what she did eighteen months ago.

And will she ever get over the love of her life.

What Lou does know for certain is that something has to change.

Then, one night, it does.

But does the stranger on her doorstep hold the answers Lou is searching for - or just more questions?

Close the door and life continues: simple, ordered, safe.

Open it and she risks everything.

But Lou once made a promise to live. And if she's going to keep it, she has to invite them in . . .

Critic reviews

The storytelling treads the delicate balance between heartbreak and hope perfectly - with a splash of humour to keep it real
This book ticks every box: lots of laughs, big emotions and a loveable heroine you really root for
A tender, funny and hopeful look at love, grief and life. Bumper box of tissues required
With its twisty plot, characters you fall in love with, weepy bits and witty bits, this is pretty much perfect
We're on classic Moyes territory here - damaged people with complex lives, described with humour and pathos. This sometimes wry, sometimes weepy novel will delight her legions of fans
Funny, sad and wise, you'll be using a hankie as a bookmark
With a talent for writing about the everyday in a wonderfully warm and wacky way, Moyes somehow manages to break your heart before restoring your faith in love. After You is unputdownable
Satisfyingly brilliant
Jojo Moyes' characters are so real you want to find out what happens to them. This is the sequel to Me Before You. It's not necessary to have read that, but you'll want to.
Like her peers David Nicholls and Marian Keyes, possesses the enviable gift of making the reader laugh in the gloomiest of circumstances . . . After You is most of all about Louisa's journey, a random, bumpy process of accommodation to loss and the fear of starting over . . . I'm sure there's room for Book Three - I can't wait!

It's a good book but since its a sequel of " me before you" I had lot of expectations and its not as good as "Me before you" . Overall a decent story but wish it was as good as its pre sequel .

Good but should have been better

Such a wonderful outcome, life really is a box of chocolates. Louisa, is simply an angel caring and puts others before herself.

Magnificent

Me Before You is a hard act to follow, but After You deals sensitively and realistically with the lives and emotions of people left behind.

The storyline could under normal circumstances be rather dark and depressing, dealing as it does with the main character's struggle to climb out of her grief. But I found it compelling with unexpected snatches of humour that had me laughing out loud. The characters- particularly Louisa's family - are delightful and believable.

I could do without some of the bad language, but the atmosphere of the story stayed with me long after I finished the book. The author paints vivid pictures with her words - she somehow evokes all the senses.

Anna Acton's performance was outstanding and contributed hugely to my enjoyment of the book. What an actress!

Didn't like the narrator on this one. Was disappointed. Liked Me Before You should have left it there.

Not as good as the first.
