Jacob "Yasha"" Livingston is having a bad day. First there is the head cold. Then the orgy, the fight, and the hospital. Between that and the bus driver who ejects him - after accusing him of transmitting the Swine Flu - the rest of his day seems fairly vague. Now he's stuck in a small town called Santo Ignacio and he has a whole lot of thinking to do. One thing is, when fate speaks in the form of an EMT, maybe it's time to listen.

One man in particular, EMT Jason "JT" Lents, with his shy smile and jade green eyes, seems more like an angel than a paramedic. But Jason has a date with a newer, prettier girl every night, despite the fact that he seems to return Yasha's interest. What will make JT happy? If JT is afraid of his feelings it might be Yasha's chance to heal the healer. For this couple to find their way, it's up to Jacob, his new friends, and the magic of St. Nacho's.

Very carefully written to keep the readers attention. (Mis) Adventures that are easy to understand.

The story is engaging throughout, with several highpoints of both narrative and descriptive excellence. It seems that the the accident sequence may speak of experience.

Each character has dimension and purpose, and the settings are drawn to provide real presence for the action to take place in.

I understand another reviewer's discomfort with the revenge porn scene, which did leave a disturbed senseibility clinging to the character involved.

The naration has variety, cadence and suitability to the text, though it sometimes dragged the pace. I enjoyed the dramatic interpretation.

Spoiler alert: The Fireman wears red suspenders

A good follow up to book 2. Not quite as engaging, but begs for book 4.

The Town continues to attract new lovers

I just couldn't warm up to JT at all. Not enough positive interaction between them. I felt as if the story should have continued a bit to really end in a good place but I was also ready for it to be over. I was also confused as to why people kept telling Yasha he needed professional help yet he seemed strong and determined and knew his own mind well. If I were reading the book, I wouldn't have finished it. The narration really did it for me. Since the first St Nachos book, I thoroughly enjoy listening to Thomas Fawley and his narration is the only reason I listened to this whole book and will get the next in series. I'm actually more interested in Cam and Daniel's possibilities than I was ever intrigued by JT.

Not best in series
