Story of Ruth

I’ve been reading a coupe of Liz Curtis Higgs books as part of my Lenten reading goal. I’ve take one of her video bible studies and just love her style. I really like that she’s the author and narrator as I tend to think they read with more passion.

What about Liz Curtis Higgs’s performance did you like?

Her insight and interpretation of Ruth's story breaks it down and makes it accessible. Despite having lived so far from 2016, you gain an understanding of the fears and trials Ruth faced, and the faith she applied to overcome. The tone of the narrator feels honest, and invites you to see that Ruth's story of redemption is your story too

Enjoyable And Enlightening Study

This is my second Liz Curtis Higgs study, and I thoroughly enjoy her writing style. She has a way of humanizing those she's talking about, and helping us relate to Bible characters that we might see as unrelatable.

Although there are some situations and conversations that Liz takes liberty with, none are outside of scripture, nor do they compromise the integrity of Christ or biblical truth.

This is another great study offered by Higgs, centered around the life of both Ruth and Naomi and how we can learn from their story and rest in the promises of God that are still ours today.
