After an alien invasion devastates humanity, a battered group of survivors huddles in a remote outpost, fighting to endure in a now-hostile world. Resources are dwindling, and internal power struggles threaten to tear apart the fragile last vestige of human society.

Emily Baxter remains haunted by vivid dreams of Earth's new masters. With these nightmares comes concern for her son, Adam, the posthuman world's firstborn child - a child who is ominously marked with red-flecked eyes. While Emily's husband is off on a dangerous mission, she is accused of committing an unthinkable crime and resolves to clear her name by journeying, along with her stepdaughter and their dog, Thor, into the alien wilderness that was once Earth.

All around Emily lurk mysterious new dangers that threaten her and her companions at every turn. Are these perils the final stages of an apocalyptic invasion or the harbinger of something even worse yet to come?

Better n better. I’ve read n listened depending on my location. As usual I enjoy listening more but the story doesn’t loose anything when reading. Excellent.

Since I have to type in a review, this is going to be it.

If you are fan of apocalyptic stories, like I am, this one is going to bowl you over. Every installment comes with it's on thrills and mysteries, slowly but steadily unfolding the ultimate mother of a mystery. Can't wait to read the last part.

Heart pounding non stop action. Amazing storyline

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

yes, I would want a friend to read the entire series

What was one of the most memorable moments of Genesis?

The false imprisonment and rape. I feel after all of the loss of life humans could let go of their petty behaviors, but they can't. This is nicely shown in this book.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

There was something weird about her voice. She held the last letter of her words in every sentence which really I found irritating. I think this is what made it really difficult for me to listen to. Eventually, I just listened and forced myself not to think about it.

Could you see Genesis being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I think the whole series could be made into a movie, but I do not think each book needs to be a separate movie. The first two in one and the second to in a different movie

Any additional comments?

My biggest problem was with the narrator and the way the series ended.

Kind of a let down
