A stellar book and a stellar voice tallent.
What did you love best about Starship's Mage Omnibus?
I loved the world. Magic and spaceships. The characters were awesome as well.

The growth of the protagonist and the obstacles he had to overcome. The story was amazing.

Good blend of magic and SCIFI
Rounded up. Probably more like a 3.5 but definitely enjoyable. A unique combination of magic and SCIFI. This is a short beach read but contains good action, decent world-building, and enjoyable characters. I will continue to listen to the series. The narration was solid.

Great story
Well, this is my first foray into the sci-fi magic genre. It was a great story. Narrative kept me engaged till the very end and the pace was good. Bought the next in the series just to get to know the character further

However, this is a pretty good listen. Kept my attention all the through. Took a bit to get used to the reader, but after a couple chapters, I got used to this reader's style.

It's always the bad guys - Not!
The book kept me interested. It was nice to read about a couple of good guys (Capt. David Rice and his mage Damien Montgomery) who actually win. The story kept me asking "how are they getting out of this one" and needing to continue to listen to find out. It kept me interested such that I kept stealing more listening time than I should have.
The narrator was a little flat, but the story allowed me to ignore that. It would have been more engaging with multiple voices.
Now I need to get the next in series to see what more is going to happen to both.
