Based on a phenomenally popular blog post, a simple and counterintuitive approach to finding true joy.

When PurposeFairy.com founder Luminita Saviuc posted a list of things to let go of in order to be happy, she had no idea that it would go viral, shared more than 1.2 million times and counting. Based on that inspiring post, this heartfelt book gives listeners permission to give up - that is, to let go of the bad habits that are holding them back from achieving authentic happiness and living their best lives. Lessons include:

  • Give up the past
  • Give up your limiting beliefs
  • Give up blaming others
  • Give up the need to always be right
  • Give up labels
  • Give up attachment

Simple yet wise, and informed by the author's own inspiring personal journey, this liberating little book presents a fresh twist on happiness advice: Take a step back to reflect, and give yourself permission to let things go.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Luminita: You have written an outstanding book but I urge you to get the producers re-do the audio with appropriate narration. The reader cannot sound like she's doing an infomercial while telling the tragic story of your father's horrific abuse.

good book ruined by wrong narration style

I love to listen to books that help me improve the way I live my life, this it one of these books.

The author starts this book oddly and afterwards tells you the reason for this odd start, it makes sense but i do not feel you would have lost a lot from this book with a toned down beginning, I started this book 3 times before I got past the beginning.

This i think will become one of my favorites as i have now listened to it three times.
I think what makes it so good is the information and the reading of it by the Narrator just feels like someone is with you and talking to you.
This book takes no concentration, you just absorb it.
and when it comes over that easy, you have to know it makes sense what you are listening too.

Don't judge this book by the start

The reade’s sing-songy, pandering, fake optimistic voice makes it nearly impossible to take in the message of the book. It sounds like the fake voice an adult would use to try to cheer a child who is sad about something the adult feels is unimportant. My intention is not to demean the narrator; her voice is lovely in itself. Possibly she was instructed to read this way. I will be returning the book.

Unbearable Narrarator

Please don't be fooled by the title of this book. I found her story to be disturbing. The narrative artist became annoying as she inhaled before each sentence that she read. I didn't get through the description of her growing up years quick enough. This may be what another reader likes from the author.
