Incredible!!!

A must read for all believers. Brooks thinks deeper about the devices of Satan against the believer and the remedies God has provided for us to stand in the day of temptation than anyone I've ever read. This is a book I'll read over and over.

Very valuable work but hard to follow because of all the language

I don’t know if I’m allowed to recommend another book but there is an updated version written by James Odens he used to be my pastor and it’s available for free and Kindle unlimited or you can buy it on Amazon and it’s much easier to follow and his commentary

Lots of mispronounced words!

I am not finished with the book yet but am surprised by how many of the names and locations the narrator mispronounces so far. It's always nice to know the person reading the book has actually read the Bible and I doubt the narrator of this book has.

Worth the Effort

This is a very difficult book to listen to. However, there are many valuable insights and discussions presented that make it worth listening to. Maybe pace yourself. Also, most people should expect to take much longer finishing it then an average audiobook.

Balm for battle weary souls

This book couldn’t have come at the more perfect time to read. The remedies are timely as though they were written by a pastor in the current era for congregants weary from battling sins of today. A testament to the timeless Truth of the Word of God in the Holy Scriptures which is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
