Where does Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very high. Most of the others I've listened to have been novels and these are short stories but they hold up just as well.

Any additional comments?

These are hot without being gratuitous. Some I saw myself in the characters and others were pure fantasy. Some of my favorites were the painting story, the seance, the double doms (what a wonderful one), and the spanking one, which had a great twist and the woman clearly enjoyed every smack.

Would you listen to Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 1 again? Why?

Yes, because it turned me on and made me think about my own fantasies.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The lesbian couple in the carnalarium. I had no idea where this story was going but I adored it. Also the chemistry between Ivy and Jack and Lennon in Tiffany Reisz's story. Wowza, what a threesome!

Any additional comments?

I liked that these stories don't skimp on the details but aren't just a clinical play by play. Lots of sensuality along with hot sex.

I'd listen again when I'm in the mood.

What did you like best about this story?

Each had its own flavor and style of storytelling. I liked that there were single women and those with partners and different types of relationships and types of sex, from open marriage to kink to old friends reconnecting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Two Doms for Dinner was hot from start to finish. That's the one I've listened to the most.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed occasionally but mainly I was just absorbed by the stories.

Any additional comments?

It was so great to hear about women who don't feel shame around sex and go after what they want. Sometimes someone goes after them but they are fully in control. Even in the kinky stories like the woman getting spanked in the police station or the one with two doms, they are very clearly submissive women who are getting what they want too. That's the thing I appreciated most about these stories. I could sink into the fantasies because the women were ultimately controlling them and indulging their basest impulses with people who respect them. Super hot and I look forward to hearing more from many of these authors.

Really fun to listen with your partner. Some of the stories are surreal but still fun to listen.
