Featured Article: The Best Audiobooks to Learn German
There are two main requirements for learning German, or any language, and making it stick: consistency and immersion. Audiobooks are great for consistency because you can easily make them a daily habit. And audio is also great for immersing yourself in a language. With a German audiobook in your ears, you can just let the vocabulary, grammar, and cadence wash over you. Find a listen to meet your needs, suit your style, and keep you talking!

The bad and ugly: It is so frustrating to have to pause the video and look up the spelling of the new word.
If only they would start with teaching the alphabet and then for each new word the native speaker would say it once slowly, then spell it out, then say it again. Just spelling it out *ONCE* would be perfect. For those who need to 'see' the word to pronounce it, for example hard of hearing people, having it spelled out (just the first time!) makes a world of difference. What beginner could guess the spelling of a word like 'mochte' (with umlaut) or 'sehen'??! Hard of hearing at high frequencies will miss the t at the end of 'dort' until they see it once. Because of this huge flaw I can't use this audiobook to learn German comfortably while driving or cooking or cleaning or walking... and I curse the author out every time I can't distinguish the sounds in the new word and I have to stop to look up the spelling.
Spelling new words ONCE would add only a few seconds (some fluff could easily be cut if necessary) and the return on investment would be huge.
Missing spelling for the hard of hearing

Paul solidified my understanding of definite and indefinite articles in Accusative and Dativ, which was huge for me.
He also broke down the "to the", so I can finally stop saying "zu dem", which makes me feel better about myself.
I didn't add much vocabulary, but that wasn't the point of this for me.

Paul Noble is an amazing teacher. He helped me learn French in just two audiobooks. He also helps you to learn German easily and enjoyably. His starting course in the audiobook about the historical influences of the German language on English helps to kick start and encourage you to learn this language that has been known throughout Europe as impossible to learn. The only negative aspect, in my view, is that this course is short and only available for Beginners. However, it’s still amazing that is available on the market. If you want to start learning German and you believe that you know nothing about this language you should listen to this audiobook!
