Short but Sweet!!!

What made the experience of listening to Just in Time the most enjoyable?

Even though this is a short story I liked the chemistry between the two main characters Luca and Kerry.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked how Kerry's character was portrayed in the book. She was a strong female character that was smart, caring and sexy.

Have you listened to any of Eli Walker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first time that I listened to the author's work and I work listen to something else by the author.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book was a romance that made you feel good and put a smile on your face.

Would you listen to Just in Time again? Why?

I would listen to Just in Time again because I enjoyed the interaction between Kerry and Luca and the romance was wonderful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Just in Time?

I loved when she left David after he cheated on her.

I loved the Luca character performance.

This was a book I wanted to read in one sitting.

I loved the story and Kerry's strength to leave David and to try a relationship with Luca.

Good Writing - Listen Needs Work

The story itself is good. Luca and Kerry are likable, the backstory is interesting, and the dialogue is believable. It was a well-written, fun romp in Italy with an HEA and a cute epilogue. Unfortunately, the listen does not do the writing justice, as it was in desperate need of editing.

Editing: I do not know whether these were mistakes published in the written work, narrator error or production. The use of "woman" instead of "women:" "I knew a hundred WOMAN," "..things that other WOMAN use to make THEMSELVES look good," "Most, if not all, of the WOMAN I was used to dating," "These WOMAN, these parties…" Also: "His QUESTION didn't make me uncomfortable. Instead, THEY did the opposite," "Passer bys" instead of passers by. Also: The narrator repeats words and phrases occasionally, but but no one edited out the repetitions. These are simple corrections that should've been made prior to release.

Narration: Eli Walker has a pleasant voice and does a good job with female voices and an OK job with male voices. Sadly, poor pacing made it impossible for any subtle inflection of words read to be "felt" how they were written, and she sometimes amped up the speed to where there didn't seem to be any punctuation. (It reminded me of that movie where the dad is racing the stroller through the zoo so he can say he took the kid to see everything so he can get to his business meeting.) Mispronunciations: Adonis. gondola, vestiges, mischievous.

Bottom line: I really liked the book and would listen again to work by this talented author. I would also give the narrator another try, even though this wasn't perfect. She has great potential IF she will just S L O W D O W N. Breathe. Read with precision and enunciate each word. If unsure how to pronounce something, Google it.

Short Story with a little bit of Drama and Hotness

The book was given to me in return for my unbiased honest opinion. I liked this book overall. The narration wasn't the best but it was surely not the worst. I wanted to feel the story come to life and at some parts that truly did happen for me. I love a good villain and this story does have one of those..she is evil!! Overall I love the fact that Kerry bounces back and I love that Luca is trying his best to win her. This is a good short story with levels to it for it to be less than 2 hours. Hey Veronica, you have a new fan!!

Love after heartbreak...

Short love story in one of the most beautiful locations in the world...
Kerry was in a relationship and it didn't end well. So she took a chance and moved away to Venice to start over to teach. She loved the beauty and fresh start.
Luca is a business man who is living the bachelor life but always looking for more. When he sees Kerry, he feels he finds it.
The story is sweet and I truly enjoyed it.
