Fantastic low-angst age-gap!

What a breath of fresh air to read! The younger MC, Joy, is wonderful at communicating her needs and wants to her partner. No misunderstandings, no thoughts left unsaid. No unnecessary BS for the sake of angst mid-story! Joy is a pleasure to have as a character! She’s also free-spirited and oh so supportive. Bravo! The romance does puts stress between the older MC and her longtime best friend/work partner. But it all makes sense and adds to the lovely story. Love how the author included normal physiological changes, that an older woman experiences, in the mix of the relationship, and how understanding and no-big-deal it is to Joy. This is now my new favorite book by Harper Bliss (and there are sooo many good ones). The narrator was also fantastic at conveying the feelings and emotions throughout the story. Oh, and there are lotta of 🔥 moments to boot!

This is my first novel by Harper, and I enjoyed it. My favorite novels typically have spice, ice queens, and an age gap. This novel had all three! Plus, the drama! I mean, how would you feel if your straight female best friend fell in love with your only daughter?
I also really enjoyed the narrator; she helped the characters come to life.

Book is meant to be raw and does it well. Loved it. Definitely a must.

May, December romance

This is one of the best “age difference romances” I have listened to on Audible.
It examines, without flinching, the ramifications these romances have on family and friends and how many walls must be climbed and choices to be made to have a successful relation.
I wish there were more “real stories” like this one out there.
My compliments to Ms. Bliss and to Ms. Rose for conveying all these emotions.
